Prozak Diaries combines clinical and anthropological perspectives to analyze the cultural working of psychiatry in contemporary Iran. It explores the rise of psychiatric discourses among youth, online and offline, and the cultural forms these discourses created in post 1990s Iran. Following the travels of psychiatry in new pedagogical, generational, and social contexts, the book analyses a cultural shift in the ways people interpret and articulate their experiences in the adopted language of psychiatry.
